You have helped me organize and give the action needed to my novels. Many thanks for providing an informative evaluation with constructive criticism, which in turn gave me that wonderful a-ha moment and set me on the right track.

And Many More...

 $10

WMx Grabber 1250! (Semi-Annual, Opening Hook Contest): Submit the first five pages (1250 words maximum—double spaced) of your novel plus a one-page synopsis. Winning entry must transcend genres and will be judged for the writer's skill to engage and interest the reader.

Earlybird incentive: the first 50 entries receive a detailed, line edit and critique of their entry (not including the synopsis)!
Our top three grabbers will advance to the finalists' round to be judged by an established editor from a major, traditional publishing house--the winner will receive a $100 grand prize--$50 goes to second place and $25 for third!

Submission deadlines are November 1st for the "Winter Grabber" contest and May 1st for the "Summer Grabber" contest.

See details on the WMx Grabber 1250! Opening Hook Contest page.

 $25

Contest Tune-Up! is a detailed critique and edit of your short story or “first pages of a novel” entry. Submit the first ten pages (including any synopsis and/or prologue—250 words per page maximum). Add $4.00 per 250-word page after ten pages, 20 page maximum. Example: 13 page submission / 10 pages @ $25 + (3 x $4) = $37.
Money Back Guarantee: If I feel I cannot dramatically improve the odds of your story doing well in a contest suited for its specific genre, I will return the manuscript with a full refund. If, after the tune-up, you don’t feel I’ve dramatically improved your story, I’ll refund your payment in full. Find more info on the "Contest Tune-Up!" page.

>$3-$5 per page

Complete Manuscript Edit: Fee is dependent upon assessment of editing required on sample submission. If I feel the manuscript will involve more time than is typical, charges will be negotiated outside of this range.  This service involves a complete and detailed manuscript edit and critique, with a separate critique summary of ten to twenty pages (depending on manuscript size and needs).

The first three pages will be edited as an evaluation sample for a $15 deposit to be applied toward the total fee. From the evaluation sample, if the writer or I decide that my contribution to the work would be of little value, the writer will have no further obligation, and the rest of the manuscript will not be edited.
After the initial evaluation, the agreed upon fee shall be submitted in thirds: the first third to be paid before further work, the second third to be paid upon first half completion, and the final third to be paid upon completion of the entire edit.
Electronic (emailed) submissions are welcome, two-way postage and packaging must be included for hard copy (paper) submissions.
